Wilderness Walk Provides Fun for the Whole Family in Hayward
Wilderness Walk Zoo and Recreation Park in Hayward, Wisconsin is a great
place to spend a day with your family.
The park is open from 10 am to 4:30 pm daily thru Labor Day and
features a collection of wild northwoods animals, farm animals, and some
exotic animals such as “Sheba” the Siberian Tiger and “Charlie” the
Cougar.
Take a stroll through the woods and see deer in their native habitat
and take the opportunity to feed them.
Play with the baby animals in the nursery and visit the farm yard and
get up close with a variety of farm animals.
Bring along a picnic lunch and enjoy the picnic grounds or visit the
Café on the grounds to tame your appetite.
After lunch visit the western town, pan for gold, conquer the maze,
tour the mystery house, hike the walking trails, play in the playground
or simply relax on one of the many benches throughout the grounds.
