America’s Only Active Chapel Car on Great Wedding Train

The Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad in Spooner is the home to  a unique rolling wedding venue called The Great Wedding Train.  They offer complete wedding services from the ceremony aboard Chapel Car “Everlasting” to the reception in turn-of-the-century mahogany paneled dining cars and even a dance on the hardwood floor in the club car complete with disco lighting. 

The Great Wedding Train can accommodate up to 200 guests for elegant dining with every part of the celebration taking place while the train slowly meanders its’ way through the northwoods.  Along the 30 mile roundtrip, guests pass over a couple of streams, travel along the scenic Namekagon River, cross the trestle bridge and skirt the shore of Green Lake.
