M.T. Pockets Gang Strikes Dinner Train during Spooner Rodeo
The
infamous M.T. Pockets Gang rides
again during the Spooner Rodeo July 10-12, 2008. This ruthless gang of
outlaws strikes the Wisconsin Great Northern Railroad each year with a
combination of gunslingin’ and humor.
The gang is lead by Dirty Derek and his sidekick Scandelous Sue, along
with their trusty horses and gang. They ride up with six guns blasting
and stop the historic train. Once onboard they pose for pictures while
trying to relieve passengers of anything valuable. They even kidnap the
youngin’s and lead them around on the horses. There is onboard
entertainment in the form of saloon girls and even a man of the cloth to
perform impromptu weddings. All together a great way to spend a few
hours on a July afternoon. Trains operate on Thursday and Friday at
11:00 and 1:30 and on Saturday, July 12 at 9:00 and 11:15 am. Don’t
miss the Rodeo Parade at 1:30 in downtown.
Even more fun is the Dinner with the
Outlaws on Friday and Saturday at 4:00 pm which features a train
robbery and a chance to dine with the outlaws during a giant western
barbeque. Tickets for the event go fast and can be purchased on the
secure website at
www.spoonertrainride.com or over the phone at 715-635-3200, all
major credit cards are accepted. Grab your camera and don’t miss the
fun.
