Avoine Fur Trade Rendezvous Celebrates Areas Past
Forts Folle Avoine Historical Park is located along the Yellow River
near Danbury, Wisconsin and hosts the annual Fur Trade Rendezvous July
25-27, 2008.
Over 150 fur trade camps fill Sayer's Field & Trader's Row,
representing the many unique characters that gathered after a winter of
trapping to trade goods, stories and have a good time. Enjoy
demonstrations of period skills, black powder, archery and tomahawk
competitions and food preparation. Visit with the participants to learn
the history of this important era of commerce and exploration in North
America.
